Reservations
All reservations should be made through your local travel agent or our central reservation office in Maun (see contact details).
Provisional bookings will be held for a period of 14 days (2 weeks), after which time confirmation of the booking and payment of a 20% non-refundable deposit will be required, or the booking will automatically be released. The booking will be confirmed by Game Trails on receipt of the depsoit.
The balance of payment is required 45 days prior to the date that the safari commences. A booking made within 45 days of commencement in payable in full on confirmation.
On confirmation of your booking, all guests are required to complete the reservations form provided and send it to our Maun office.
Cancellations
All cancellations should be made in writing and will only be deemed effective upon acknowledge receipt by Game Trails.
Cancellations will be subject to the following penalties :
46 Days or more prior to commencement : forfeit 20% deposit
45 –31 Days prior to commencement : forfeit 50% of the package price
30 – 15 Days prior to commencement : forfeit 75% of the package price
14 Days of less prior to commencement : forfeit 100% of the package price
Please ensure that your clients take out cancellation and curtailment insurance.
Package Prices
Package prices are based on current rates of exchange, tariffs and taxes as of January 2007. Game Trails reserves the right to increase package prices to cover increased tariffs, taxes and fluctuations in foreign exchange markets.
Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation, curtailment, medical emergancy travel and personal accident is compulsory on all Game Trails safaris.
Luggage Restrictions
Space is limited on a mobile safari. Consequently, each guests is allowed 12 kg of luggage in a soft, compact carrier bag, plus a small day bag and limited camera equipment. Any expenses incurred as a result of excess lugguage will be for the guests own account i.e. additional charter flight.
Schedules & Itineraries
Although Game Trails make every effort to adhere to schedules and itineraries, these are subject to change in light of changing local conditions and availability. You will be notified of any changes prior to departure.
Single Supplements
We do not wish to penalise individuals travelling solo. Consequently, we do not charge a single supplement on our safaris other than the direct costs that we incur from our suppliers i.e. should there be lodge accommodation included in the itinerary. However, due to the nature of mobile safaris, our carrying capacity is limited. Therefore, in the event that two individuals of the same sex be on the same safari, we would require these two individuals to share accommodation and would consequently waive any supplement. Should an individual insist on private accommodation, they will be liable to pay a 25% single supplement. A maximum of 2 single guests can be accommodated per safari.
